Day 4- Excursion to the imprissive ruined city of Polonnaruwa the capital of
            Sri Lanka in the 11th-13th century AD. Lunch and return to Sigiraya to climb

Day 5- Drive to Kandy, home of the Temple of the Sacred Tooth. Tour of Kandy
            visiting the Temple of the Tooth, Market Square, Upper Lake Drive and the

On arrival transfer to Koggala Beach Hotel (270 km), for a stay of 3 nights.

DAY 5: SUN/TUE – SIGIRIYA
Morning depart for Sigiriya (315 km), en route visiting the Dambulla Rock Temple. Dinner and

DAY 6: MON/WED – SIGIRIYA
After breakfast depart for Polonnaruwa (70 km). Sightseeing here will include the great quadrangle.

DAY 7: TUE/THU – KANDY
Morning climb Sigiriya Rock. Continue to Kandy (100 km), visiting a spice garden and batik factory
in Matale en route. In the evening, visit the Gem Museum and lapidary, the Temple of the Tooth and
enjoy a cultural dance display. Dinner and overnight at Hotel Topaz.

DAY 8: WED/FRI – KANDY
Morning at leisure. Afternoon city tour of Kandy will include the Botanical Gardens. Dinner and

DAYS 9-14: THU-TUE/SAT-THU – SRI LANKA BEACH
After breakfast visit the Elephant Orphanage at Pinnawela before continuing to the Koggala Beach
Hotel (270 km) where you will stay for the next 6 nights.

Day 3- Morning departure for Galle, Visitting the Rurtle Hatchery en-route.
            Optional glass bottom boat ride to corals at Hikkaduwa. Continue to the historic
            town of Galle for a city tour. The natural harbour was used by seafarers as the
            gateway to the spice land of Serendib (Ceylon). The Dutch and Portuguese who
            successfully ruled the island have left their indelible marks on this quaint city.
            The Dutch fort with its towering ramparts the lighthouse and the many old fashioned
            Dutch building lend a special flavour to Galle. Continue to Hambantota for dinner
            and overnight at the Peacock Beach Hotel.

Day 4- Early morning at leisure to relax or optional excursion to Udawalawe
            Wild life Sanctuary where leopards, elephant, monkey, deer, boar, roam freely,
            or Bandala Bird Sanctuary home of many spices of bird. In the afternoon depart
            for Nuwara Eliya, nestling at over 6000ft above sea level, in the misty, cool
            hill country. An Anglican church, well kept lawns, beautiful parks and the famous
            golf course give the place a distinct air of nostalgia. Dinner and overnight at
           Grand Hotel or st.Andrews.

Day 5- Enjoy a brief tour before proceeding to a tea estate and factory en route
            Kandy, the capital of the hill country. Visit the Temple of the Tooth, home of the
            Sacres Tooth Relic of Lord Budha. Dinner and overnight at Mahawelli Reach Hotel
            or Le Kandyan.

Day 6- Visit the Botanical Gardens in the morning and in the afternoon take a city tour
            of Kandy. In the evening view a cultural dance performance.

Day 7- Proceed to Pinawella Elephant orphanage, on the banks of the river Maha Oya,
            home of displaced or lost elephants best visited during bath or feeding time.
            Proceed  to the Blue Oceanic Hotel in Negombo for 2 night.

Day 1- Mon.  Depart Heathrow for Colombo

Day 2- Arrive Colombo and transfer to Giritale and the Hotel Deer Park for dinner and
            overnight.

Day 3- Morning tour of Polonaruwa, the island's medieval capital, where art. architeture
            and engineering were revived. Its now the monument of Sri Lanka's renaissances.
            Afternoon visit the masive Sigiriya rock fortress, build in the 5th century, best
            known for the rock paintings of maidens. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel Deer
            Park.

 Day 4- Morning visit Anuradhapura. one of Sri Lanka's celebrated ancient cities, famous for it's hemispherical dagabas. The most notable being the Ruwanveli 300m in diameter
and build in the 2nd century. Dinner and overnight at Hotel Deer Park.

Day 5- Morning depart Giritale for a visit to the world famous Dambulla Cave Temples, featuring over 200 sq m of painted walls and ceilings. Visit a spice plantation and proceed to Kandy, the cultural capital of the country, and home of the last capital of the Sinalha kings. The focal point of the city is the golden roofed temple where the Sacred Tooth relic is enshrined. Dinner and overnight at Mahaweli Reach or Le Kanyan Hotel.

Da y 6 Full day excursion to Nuwara Eliya, including a visit to a tea estate & factory. Drive through rolling hills of lush green tea plantations. This beautiful town nestles in the cool misty hill country at an elevation of 6,000 ft. Well kept lawns, an Anglican church, the  famous golf course and beautiful parks give the place an air of nostalgia, making it a            serene retreat. Return to Kandy for dinner and overnight at the mahaweli Reach or Le
Kandyan Hotel.

Day 7- Full day in Kandy including a visit to the Royal Botanical Gardens, Upper Lake
 Drive with time for shopping. Late evening visit the Temple of the Tooth. Dinner
 and overnight at the Mahawelli Reach or Le Kandyan Hotel.

Day 8- Drive to Pinawella Elephant ophanage, located on the banks of the river Maha      Oya, created mainly to house young elephants who found themselves displaced and
 lost from their natural habitat. It is mostly interesting to visit a deeding or bath
 time. Continue to Wadduwa and the Blue Water Hotel for 4 nights.

Day 9-11- At leisure on the beach.

Day 12- Transfer to Colombo for your return flight to London.
