1. FORT AGUADA TAJ - 5*****

Location: Built within the walls of the 16th century Portuguese Fort Aguada, beside Sinqueriem beach, In north Goa, approx. 1 1/2 hrs from Dabolim airport.

 

 

Accommodation: There are 130 air - condition rooms, with twin or double bed, TV, telephone, fridge, bath or shower, w.c. and most have sea view.
Standard rooms are in the main building or in garden cottages. Suites are in the main building and have a separate living room and terrace.

Facilites: "Sea shell" retaurant serving Indian, Goan and continental dishes. "Trattoria" serving Italian specialities, "Rampon" for Goan specialitiesand a poolside grill for delicious barbecued sea food. Large swimming pool, poolside bar and sun terraces with lovely views over Sinquerimbeach. Sporting facilities shared between Fort Aguada, the sister-hotel Taj Holiday Village and Aguada Hermitage are: air-conditioned billiard room, health club, sauna, floodlit tennis court, badminton court, squash court, volleyball and table tennis and in season (Nov-Apr) water-sports, are available. Occasional evening entertainment includes live music.

Opinion: Managed by the renowned Taj group, this well established resort offers an excellent standard of accommodation and service in a unique setting.



2. FORT AGUADA HERMITAGE  - 5 *****
 


Location:
Part of the Fort Aguada complex designed especially for a commonwealth heads of state meeting offering secluded privacy . Nestling amidst well maintained gardens in a unique
setting on the hill side a short walk above the Fort Aguada commanding spectacular views of the coastline .
Accommodation: The rooms are in 15 attractive villas , set in well -maintained gardens . They are tastyefully furnished and have a  verandah , separate sitting room with dinning area (some rooms share the sitting room), a double or twin beds , TV, fridge , coffee/tea making facilities , and bathroom with bath and shower.W.C.

Facilities: Walk through  the flower bedded walkways to the Fort Aguada where you have full use of all facilities at Fort Aguada & Taj Holiday Village . Room service is also available.

Opinion: A tranquil setting offering privacy and luxury accommodation.

3. TAJ HOLIDAY VILLAGE - 5 *

Taj Holiday village has recently completed renovations bringing the rooms and public areas up to the usual high standard that we have come to expect from the Taj Group of Hotels. Situated next to its sister hotel the Fort Aguada Beach Resort, set in an a fantastic location, in a slightly elevated position with a great view from the gardens of the beach; miles of wide soft pink sand against a backdrop of swaying palms.

There are three main restaurants; Caravela (including Drift Bar) for all day dining, a popular choice for its sea-side setting, Beach House with it's Portuguese ambiance serves authentic Goan cuisine and the renowned Banyan Tree for the best Thai food in Goa. Location: Set on the beach at Miramar in central Goa, just 2 km from Panjim with all its shops and restaurants. Transfer time from the airport approximately 35 minutes. 

Important note: Due to the very strong undercurrents swimming is not possible from the beaches near the hotel.
Facilities: As you would expect from a Marriott Hotel, there is a wide range of facilities including a fabulous swimming pool with swim up bar, overlooking the Mandovi River.
For the health conscious, there is a squash court, tennis court and fully equipped fitness centre with state of the art gymnasium and spa,  jacuzzi, steam room, ayurvedic centre with massage rooms. For a more relaxing pace, days can be spent lazing around the pool or on the beach where waiter service is available.
Dining is also a great experience with a choice from the Buffet and a la carte restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating and views over the river, Chinese restaurant for dinner and waterfront barbecue for lunch, dinner and snacks, complemented by the 4 bars, poolside, lobby and waterfront. There is also a small shopping arcade.
